Fund Their Future was set up as a UK registered charity in 2004 to help the poor by supporting the work of microfinace institutions (MFIs) around the world. The founders and unpaid workers (there are no paid workers) of the charity are Peter and Andrew Robb. This means over 95% of your money goes to help the poor.
Peter is a retired merchant banker who has managed branches in Africa, Asia, Australia and the United States for Standard Bank, Bank of America and First National Bank of Boston. He now works in the family property business and for Fund Their Future in Bristol.
Having started work in the City of London, Andrew Robb has spent the last 20 years building up his property business in Bristol. He is involved in various microfinance projects and is a member of the Steering Committee of the UK Microfinance Club. FTF supports organisations raising awareness about MF such as the Microfinance Club UK and those promoting innovation such as Mobile Microfinance Ltd. We make loans and guarantees directly to MFIs and also invest via intermediaries. Our main partner in channeling funds to microfinance institutions is Oikocredit. Oikocredit has 30 years of experience in making successful loans to microfinance institutions around the world and has a very strong balance sheet. It pays a 2% pa dividend and will buy back your shares at the price paid for them.
