HOW YOU CAN HELP

The charity will invest directly in Oikocredit shares  which presently receive a 2% pa dividend and in the Dexia Microcredit Fund which has seen a 37% growth in share value since its start in 1999. Although it is possible for an individual to buy shares directly, under Financial Services Act,  we are not permitted to advertise shares and we are in no way promoting the sale of  shares here.

All the funds donated or loaned  to FTF are used to buy  the shares of these intermediary companies which are then loaned to microfinance institutions (MFIs) around the world.  

So your money goes on working far into the future.

LENDING 

We believe the default risk of lending funds to Oikocredit and Dexia is low. Oikocredit has never failed to pay back an investor in its 30 year history and it has a strong balance sheet but, of course, there is always a small risk of default. Therefore a large, immediate impact can be made through lending. We have several ways that you can help.

1. You can lend money to FTF interest free. We will use this as security to borrow Swiss Francs with which we buy Oikocredit and Dexia shares. We ask that the loan is for a minimum of five years. 

2. We can pay you 2% pa  interest on any loan amount.  We have donors who choose to  borrow in Swiss Francs and allow us to buy the Euro denominated Oikocredit shares. The interest we pay is likely to cover most of the cost of your loan. If you would like to know more, please call us to discuss.

GIVING

The best way you can give:

1. You can send a cheque made out to 'Fund their Future' at The Coach House, 38 Cotham Hill, Bristol BS6 6LA. U.K. But please remember to print off the Gift Aid declaration and send it to us with the cheque as it will enable to claim back an additional 28 pence for every pound you donate.
